Today was a sad day. I left the Galapagos behind.
I got up, forced myself to get packed and ready and then decided to go out for my last breakfast in San Cristóbal. It was nice to sit in the sunshine, drink my coffee and juice and chow down on some toast whilst people watching. I checked my emails whilst I was there and started to lose faith in the world again! My travel agents were having more issues, yet again….it seems it’s my job to sort it out for them…. constantly!
I tried to phone, but it wouldn’t connect and seeing as these were my last few hours in the Galapagos, I couldn’t be bothered to run round after them. That’s a tomorrow problem.
I got a taxi to the airport, checked in and sat in the airport for the next two hours listening to music and doing more of watching the world go by. It was quite relaxing.
Before I knew it, it was the end of my flight and I was back in Quito in the back of a taxi on my way to the hostel. I’m quite tired so it’s good that it has been so laid back. Tomorrow is going to be a lot of problem solving, so no doubt busy, this is a nice run up to it. I got to my hostel, settled myself in, went for some dinner and found when I came back I was struggling to keep my eyes open. Early night it is…..
